I tried it many years ago.. it didn't work for me as I found the food disgusting, and not what I was used to eating (too much "junk" type food)
I also didn't like the sales people who were pushy and patronising.
But I know that may not be everyone's experience with JC
Yeah, that's how I feel too. That's why after a few months, I asked if I could only buy for half the week. They got kinda mad, but how am I suppose to learn anything if I don't cook for myself? I mean, I already know how to use the microwave.
Plus, I view it as just a good start too. I only joined because my mother was around 300lbs and wanted to join, so I joined to support her, plus I figured it wouldn't hurt.
Yes, I think the key to any LONG TERM successful weight loss is learning how to eat with real foods in a real world...we are talking lifestyle skills and a permanent change in how one eats. This is the main problem with Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, etc...sure you can lose weight eating what they allow you to eat, all packaged up nicely. But, so many people I know, as soon as they stop the plan...the weight starts coming right back!
Besides, I am such a picky eater...I couldn't stomach many of those pre-packaged meals I am sure! They don't even look good on the commercials!

Yeah, I agree with you there. They are a bit pushy. Always trying to make me buy their vitamins and anytime bars and the whole weeks worth of food.
The food doesn't taste that bad to me, but I've tried everything and only order what I like. They did get upset when 3 months into the program I told them I only wanted to buy for half the week.
The anytime bars taste like dirt... actually I think dirt might taste better. \
Plus, their vitamins were making me throw up. I told them that and they told me to take one vitamin in the morning and one in the afternoon with a glass of water each... I did that... still the same result. So now, whenever they ask me if I need to buy the vitamins, I say no and they just look at me weird. But why am I going to buy something that makes me sick?
Other than that tho, I find the program is alright. I mainly just like getting weighed in every week and having to talk to someone to be accountable for what I'm doing the week. Yeah, I got Sean to keep me accountable, but sometimes it's easier to disappoint loved ones and family than it is strangers. LoL.

Yeah, that's why I'm glad that I cook for myself half the week. I mean, I'm still losing the weight and all of that. Plus, Sean and I go out to eat like once a week and I am better at making food choices. I just have my contract with them for 2 years, so I'm just waiting it out. At the rate I'm going, I'll be at my goal weight of 175lbs by September/October. Than I can just eliminate JC altogether and only go once a month to make sure I'm not gaining weight. Plus, it is real expensive. 80$ for 4 days worth of food, plus I still have to go to the grocery store to buy groceries for myself and boyfriend.
Eh, I complain, but yet, I still think it's a good program.
