People must get over segregating obese people from the rest of the population; it is a very ignorant way of thinking. Weight is not just behavioral (laziness or emotional eating), but may also be due to physical (medical conditions or medications). As a result, for some, managing weight can be a life long struggle. I am a big-boned, 5' 10" curvy woman who needs to lose 50 more pounds. I recently experienced workplace discrimination due to my size. Although I have lost 35 pounds, it is a slow process due to my thyroid condition.
As a parent, I have raised two adult sons whom are both actively working on their college degrees to keep this great country safe. My youngest son will graduate as an Officer in the US Army. It makes me sick that people think they are superior to someone who has a weight problem, knowing that both of my children reach out to protect EVERYONE, in the same way that through my career as a healthcare professional, I do not discriminate about who I care for.
Put yourself, or someone you love, in the shoes of someone who has faced discrimination of any type and I think that you will changed your closed mind. By discriminating and ridiculing others whom are different only shows that the person flinging the pooh - is more full of it than anything else.

I have been taking Byetta for a year now and I have lost 50lbs!!! I feel great and I get tons of compliments on my weight loss. No excericse!
