Wired PR News - Alternative medicine is becoming more widely accepted in hospitals and doctors offices today. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), as more people look to natural remedies to treat their ailments, a number of hospitals and medical care practitioners have integrated alternative therapies into their health care offerings.
As noted in the report, many are pressing for more serious research into these types of treatments for the protection of consumers who may be unaware that some natural remedies can have the same kind of serious side effects as conventional medicines. Some related products do not require FDA approval in accordance with provisions of the Dietary Supplement and Health Education Act of 1994.
