American Veterinary Medical Association's publications team, has been named the new editor-in-chief and director of the AVMA's publications division.
Matushek, who has served as interim editor-in-chief since March, will be responsible for the daily operations and overall content of the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Journal of Veterinary Research.
He earned a veterinary degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1983 and a master's degree at the Ontario Veterinary College. He is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
Matushek said. "The AVMA journals are among the most prestigious and widely known veterinary journals in the world, and I look forward to building on that success."
