Private Label Rights (PLR) come with a variety of 'rights' conferred to the new owner. Often these rights can include giveaway rights - or the right to package the product as fits your business and give it away.

When a PLR product has giveaway rights, and includes links in the product, the original author may or may not also give you rebranding rights. Rebranding rights gives you the ability to change the affiliate links to your own so that you might make some backend sales after giving away the article, special report or ebook.

Check the Terms of Service carefully to see if you are able to give away the product. If you haven't been given those rights they may be packaged and sold separately.

Giving away products has become more and more popular over the past 2 years. Pointing to the rise and continued growth of the give away sites you can see for yourself the logic behind their madness. There are giveaway launches that are designed around Christmas, membership sites and Easter. Seems there is a real fondness for some of the holidays.

Giving away products, although more popular, has also saturated the market with material that is pretty close to worthless. In theory this method for driving traffic to your site works well. You write a content-rich book or special report that becomes viral and floats around the Internet.

Embedded in the written work are links to your site or your affiliate products. The problem with this tactic is that many people are now passing around written work that was generated by software, poorly researched or poorly written. In either case as the market floods with junk the viability of this tactic is diluted.

You can however, use content to drive traffic to your sites using PLR content. You must be very careful with the quality of the content and the presentation of the work. Your name is attached to your business and on the Internet your name is your reputation. Pass around junk and your name will be linked with junk. Not a pleasant place to be when you are trying to sell your products and services.

So, although using PLR content is a more than viable technique to draw people to your business, you must also be concerned with the quality of the written work, the presentation and your customer follow-up. Private Label Rights (PLR) is your own personal goldmine - use it to your advantage!
