I would love to see everyone have their own health care plan and I think they can do so just like I, my wife and the rest of America do so; either pay for their plan or work for someone who will provide it as part of your compensation. The idea that I HAVE to be my brothers keeper is not mentioned anywhere in any of the legal documents I was taught in school such as the Declaration of Independance or the Bill of Rights or the Constitution.
Nowhere does it say that I as an individual have to pay for someone else to be taken care of. I am not unfeeling or trying to be insensitive but it is not my place nor is it the governments place to provide a health care system.In addition the disincentive Mr. Obama mentions to keep business owners from pushing people to the public plan is going to have to be pretty large to keep them from doing so. Why would I take on the administration of providing a benefit when there is a national plan someone else is providing.
Why the disincentive? If the public plan is strong then it should call for dismantiling of the private sector. If it is not as strong or solid as the private sector then it should not be an option. I like my health care. Currently my wife is undergoing cancer treatment. The thought that the government would decide what is allowable for diagnosis and treatment of my wife sickens me. This is our fight and we are fortunate that our plan is so strong and covers so much of the treatment. Under the national plan would we be so fortunate or would we be paying more out of pocket to get the care she needs?

d Congress are NOT giving the news stations, or the general public, all the facts we need to know about this so-called "health care reform". The elderly have Medicare and it works fine. The poor have Medicaid and Indigent Care, and that works fine. Obama and Congress need to get employers like Walmart to provide health insurance for ALL of their employees.
