In Dubai recently the United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Health seized a gigantic haul of fake Viagra. Registration and Control Department were alerted to 86 containers of a drug that contained around 1.75 million tablets, purporting to be Viagra as manufactured by Pfizer.
The drugs had not been properly registered and so were impounded. According to some sources UAE ports are chosen to ship illegal drugs from China and India, because the manufactures think they will undergo less scrutiny. This haul may change that thinking. The process for authorities to issue a certificate of origin for medications depends on them getting the Health Ministry's approval first. If this is not present and correct shipments are impounded and investigated. Without proof of origin they theoretically cannot get through. The authorities have informed local chambers of commerce to issue no more certificates of origin for drugs without health ministry approval.
Fake drugs are manufactured using cheap labour in unregulated factories. Because they are not regulated in any way the product has the potential to be ineffective at best, lethal at worst. The only way to buy Viagra, the genuine drug, is to deal with a supplier that offers health advice and a consultation. A reputable supplier will check the provenance of the products they sell, and so protect you from the risk of taking substandard and even dangerous drugs.
This is even more important when you go to buy Viagra online, as it can be easier for a disreputable website to hide evidence of their behaviour. If you can get a consultation and actually speak to a doctor you are taking the safest route.
