Lindsay Lohan jumped at the chance to follow in the footsteps of her idol Marilyn Monroe and strip naked for legendary photographer Bert Stern.
The actress poses nude and hiding behind a strip of sheer fabric in the latest issue of New York magazine.
The pictures are copies of images Stern shot of Monroe just six weeks before she died in 1962, and which appear in his book "The Complete Last Sitting."
Lohan, 21, had never stripped off in print or on screen before, but didn't hesitate to emulate her hero Monroe, confessing her home, in the same Los Angeles apartment block where the late star once lived, is a shrine to the actress.
She says, "I was comfortable with it (the nudity). I didn't have to put too much thought into it. I mean, Bert Stern? Doing a Marilyn shoot? When is that every going to come up? It's really an honor."
"If you saw my house, I have a lot of Marilyn stuff."
Pop star Pink has split from her husband of two years, motocross racer Carey Hart.
The singer, 28, married 32-year-old Hart in January 2006 at a ceremony in Costa Rica.
The star -- real name Alecia Moore -- recently denied reports her marriage was in trouble but has now confirmed the split.
Moore's publicist Michele Schweitzer insists Pink and Hart have ended their relationship on amicable terms.
She tells People.com, "Pink and Carey Hart have separated. This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another. While the marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger."
Singer/actress Jessica Simpson has been accused of "hurting millions of fat people in America" by banning the sale of a secret fitness DVD.
The actress recorded the workout tape produced by fitness video company Speedfit ahead of her role as Daisy Duke in the "Dukes of Hazzard" in 2005.
But despite signing a multi-million-dollar contract, the 27-year-old changed her mind and banned its release, reports New York gossip column Page Six.
Speedfit owner Alex Astilean has now launched a lawsuit against her manager dad Joe after failing to secure a $10 million settlement from Simpson last year.
Astilean says, "They are hurting millions of fat people in America."
Simpson's spokesman tells the publication, "It's a legal matter that's in the hands of attorneys."
Actress Denise Richards has defended her decision to allow her children to appear in her new reality TV show, insisting they want to become stars.
The actress was taken to court by ex-husband Charlie Sheen in a bid to stop their daughters Sam, 3, and Lola, 2, from appearing on television.
But a Los Angeles judge ruled in Richards' favor and gave her the green light to feature the kids in the currently untitled program.
Richards insists her daughters were desperate to be a part of the project.
She says, "I am a single mom and I am very hands-on with my kids so I can't do a show without the kids at all.
"I asked them if they wanted to be on TV and Sam said, 'Yes!' My girls have been around it so much. They love the make-up. They love the hair. They love all of that.
"I understand why people are judgmental right away saying, 'How could she have her kids on the show?' But as long as they're protected, I feel that they'll be OK."
Meanwhile, Richards hopes the show will represent her in a good light following months of negative press after the breakdown of her marriage to Sheen in 2006.
She says, "There has definitely been a lot of negative things written about me and going through my divorce. You know, I don't want to do a bunch of interviews and start mud-slinging with my ex. He's still their dad. I would like an opportunity for people to see who I am."
Eva Longoria has fueled rumors she is pregnant after she was spotted buying baby accessories on a recent shopping trip in Los Angeles.
The "Desperate Housewives" star, 32, has continued to deny reports she is expecting her first child with basketball player husband Tony Parker, and last month insisted she would be "singing it from the rooftops" if the news was true.
But the beauty has further sparked speculation she is a mother-to-be after she and a pal stopped by a number of chic baby boutiques in L.A. last week, including the exclusive Petit Tresor, where she allegedly purchased a $120 Robbie Adrian blanket and six Huddy Buddy-branded baby outfits.
Rapper Flavor Flav has denied reports he is engaged to wed, insisting his search for a new girlfriend on reality TV show "Flavor of Love "is for real.
On the dating show, aired on VH1, Flav moves in with a group of potential partners and eliminates one each week before being left with his favorite girl.
But the Public Enemy star -- real name William Drayton -- is alleged to have proposed to his lover after learning she was pregnant with his child following the end of season two in October 2006 and the start of season three earlier this month.
A source tells the New York Post's Page Six, "Right after season two wrapped, Flav got yet another woman pregnant. He decided he was in love with her and they got engaged.
"He never even bothered to call (season two winner) Deelishis after the reunion show. He has a fiancee he's in love with and doesn't want to cheat on, but he'd already cashed his check that VH1 gave him for season three - and the show resurrected his career. He was dead broke before, so he's doing it for his family."
However, a representative for the show insists Flavor Flav is single, despite admitting reports has become a father for the eighth time are accurate.
The VH1 spokesperson says: "Flav is not engaged. It's true he's on his eighth child but, as he's said in the past, he'd like 10. So there's two more to go."
The 48-year-old's newest edition to his family was born last year.
Socialite Paris Hilton celebrated her 27th birthday with a raunchy performance alongside burlesque revue the Pussycat Dolls on Saturday night.
The hotel heiress, who turned 27 on Sunday, wowed onlookers by gyrating onstage in a succession of skimpy outfits in the Pussycat Dolls Lounge at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Hilton spent last week rehearsing her sexy dance routine after admitting she was "nervous" at the prospect of embarrassing herself onstage.
Supermodel Heidi Klum is the latest celebrity to offer troubled Britney Spears a place to recuperate away from the paparazzi.
The German host of "Project Runway," who lives nearby Spears in Beverly Hills, Calif., with her three children and husband Seal, believes the singer needs to spend some time hidden away from the media.
Klum says, "She can call me and come live in our house with us for a couple of months. I would help set her straight.
"I am sorry when a young person gets thrown so off track. She has, of course, lived an extremely wild life."
In recent weeks, Queen Latifah, Steve Irwin's widow Teri and Sylvester Stallone's ex-wife Brigitte Nielsen have come forward to offer Spears a private retreat.
Kirsten Dunst's representatives have blasted accusations the actress' split with actor Jake Gyllenhaal was caused by her alleged substance abuse.
The 25-year-old was reportedly admitted to Cirque Lodge after a week of partying at last month's Sundance Film Festival, but family sources close to the star insist it was her wild ways that caused the couple's three-year relationship to end in 2005.
A source tells Us Weekly, "Jake was turned off by all the partying."
A representative for Dunst has dismissed the split rumors as "downright wrong" and is adamant "she is not being treated for cocaine or any drug."
Jane Fonda has apologized for turning the air blue when she uttered an explicit word on NBC's "Today" show.
The Oscar-winner joined Eve Ensler on the show's sofa on Thursday to discuss the 10th anniversary of the playwright's Vagina Monologues-inspired V-Day when she stunned viewers by using a vulgar slang term for vagina.
But the 70-year-old insists she didn't mean to swear and accidental cursing is no big deal.
She explains, "The first time that I knew about 'The Vagina Monologues,' I was asked to perform that particular monologue in Atlanta, and so I just happened to say the name of it.
"I didn't even think. I'm sorry if I offended anybody. I think it's pretty silly."
Sir Paul McCartney's divorce battle with Heather Mills has come to an end after the warring couple failed to reach a settlement agreement.
It had been feared the legal proceedings would drag on for another week after the pair failed to agree terms on Friday.
But the judge overseeing the case at London's High Court wrapped up proceedings on Monday afternoon after nearly six days of negotiations.
The pair now have to wait for a verdict from Mr. Justice Bennett, who will decide on an appropriate financial settlement for Mills.
The judgment, due in the next few weeks, will be binding for both parties and may never be known by the outside world as the estranged couple is still bound by a gagging order preventing them from revealing details of the case to the media.
Any financial settlement will not be made public unless Mills or McCartney decides to contest the verdict and take the case to the Court of Appeal.
The former model has been representing herself in the case and could reportedly walk away with $120 million of the former Beatle's estimated $1.65 billion personal fortune.
McCartney and Mills split in May 2006 after four years of marriage. They have a 4-year-old daughter, Beatrice, together.
