John Sorensen has been named chief financial officer and managing director for bankruptcy and restructuring communications with the Westport office of ICR Inc., a strategic financial communications consulting firm.

Sorensen, a Westport resident, has 25 years of financial and operating experience with private equity and public companies. He previously was vice president and treasurer with Kaman Corp. in Bloomfield. He also has held executive management positions with companies such as Visant Corp., World Kitchen Inc., US Office Products Co. and Bank of America

" Dr. Cynthia Murdock has joined the Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut in Norwalk as a staff physician and a specialist in reproductive medicine and infertility.

Murdock completed her residency at Creighton University Medical Center and had a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the National Institutes of Health. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility.

" Soraya Bilbao has joined the staff of United Way of Coastal Fairfield County as its community impact implementation manager.

Bilbao, a Bridgeport resident, has a history of serving the Bridgeport community. Before joining United Way, Bilbao worked with the Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition, RYASAP, United Way and the Volunteer Center of Greater Bridgeport.

Bilbao spent two years in the Kingdom of Tonga, South Pacific, as a volunteer leader and community educator with the Peace Corps. She serves on the Fairfield University Alumni Board of Directors and is a member of the American Society for Training and Development.

" Catherine Richardson has joined the Professional Women's Alliance of Connecticut, a group of professional women who provide advice and support for Fairfield County women going through divorce or other major life transitions in the areas of finance, tax, law, mental health, real estate and retirement planning.

Richardson is an associate partner with Keller Williams Realty in Stamford and has been in real estate nearly 10 years. She previously worked for William Raveis Real Estate & Home Services and also was the principal broker of her own firm in Stamford.
