Holiday Weight Loss Survival

The average American gains 7 to 10 lbs. during the holiday season. From Thanksgiving to New Year's Day Americans are continually offered fatty foods everywhere they go. When you couple that the stress of the holidays to the availability of fatty foods is no surprise that Americans gained some weight on average. Did you know the average American consumer each over 7,000 calories at one holiday meal? Now you can understand why eating during the holidays may sustain so much weight. However there is a way to try and combat gaining so much weight. My suggestion to anyone trying to avoid the holiday weight is to use meal replacement foods and snacks. For example about an hour before a big meal, try eating a meal replacement snack bar. I highly recommend using the met fast meal replacement program to substitute for holiday foods. Of course this is not always possible and we all really enjoy dessert. If you eat a small snack before that big holiday dinner then you will not eat as much of those high calorie foods.
