New breast cancer therapies and research, and improvements in current therapies, are some of the topics breast cancer doctors will discuss Saturday at a free public conference. They will also hold a question-and-answer session.
The conference will review some of the most significant findings from the most recent San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, an meeting that draws thousands of doctors, researchers and advocates from around the world.
The conference will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at La Quinta Inn & Suites Conference Center, 4431 Horizon Hill, off Medical Drive and Interstate Highway 10.
It is sponsored by the Alamo Breast Cancer Foundation and the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Blah Blah Blah. I went to SABCS about 6 years ago. Exept for 1 presentation (I sent an e-thank you) I found it a big joke. / I read Buck Rogers when I was a kid "knowing" that space travel was total science fiction. A cure for cancer was just around the corner. We put a man on the moon over 40 years ago!!!!! Get back to me when there's a cure - if I'm still alive. // Jean Clelland-Morin
