DOHA: All people regardless of origin or place of residence want to live a better and healthier life. With progress in technology, these aspirations are now becoming reality. In particular, the home appliance industry is increasingly looking for ways to meet the growing health awareness of consumers by including health conscious features into their products.

LG Electronics organised a product training workshop for its partners in Qatar for the health-friendly product range which consists of large steam washing machines, GIDC refrigerators, light wave ovens, kompressor steam vacuum cleaners and air purifiers.

The company is the first to begin focusing on health-friendly products and has created a unique market for home appliance industry while helping consumers have cleaner and healthier homes. The entire range of LG health care products is available at major retailers in Qatar.

LG Electronics in partnership with Video Home Electronics for the first time in Gulf launched a 10 year Warranty on Direct Drive Motor on all its Direct Drive range of washing machines in Qatar. LG consumers are assured with low maintenance, low noise and less vibration, energy and water with their Direct Drive washing machines.

The event was held at the Ramada Hotel on April 25. Around 300 dealers Qatar were present and participated in the workshop to better understand LG products. Live demonstrations of steam washing machines, steam vacuum cleaners and air purifiers were appreciated and generated huge interest among the dealers. Retailers with top sales performance records were acknowledged and awarded by Video Home and LGE officials.

Steam cleans clothes better than water alone because its molecules are smaller than water molecules, allowing it to penetrate more deeply into fibres. The heat from the steam eliminates germs as well as dust mites and other small parasites that live in clothes, bedding and other textiles. It also dissolves allergens and the rising power is four times stronger than conventional machines.

LG steam washers have unique steam refresh course which reduces wrinkles by 70 percent and removes odours thereby increasing personal hygiene. Moreover, they are cost effective by consuming 20 percent less water and energy. Tub clean function automatically eliminates fungus or other toxic substance that grows inside the tub by sterilisation.

LG washing machine has been certified by British Allergy Foundation (BAF), Korean Asthma & Allergy Foundation (KAAF), Japan ITEA and Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) for its excellence in removing allergens.

Green Ion Door Cooling Refrigerators

Green ion door cooling is an innovative feature which filters out moisture, bacteria and odours. The technology uses the green catechin, the same organic compound that gives green tea its anti-oxidant properties, to keep food fresh two-and-a-half time longer than normal refrigerators. Ions generated by the tourmaline applied inside the refrigerator enable the food to last longer and fresher.

Vita LightTM function of LG refrigerator help the food to retain nutrients with eco-friendly photosynthesizing effect. The biosilver coated liner protects the food against bacteria, fungus and yeast. The Anti-microbial properties of biosilver have been acknowledged by global renowned health authorities like EDA, EPA and SIAA.

LG's innovative and self developed Ice@door function ensures easy and spill proof ice making function in the refrigerator. Also ice @door is placed in the freezer door resulting in optimum usage of freezer space to the maximum extent.

SolarDOM Steam oven

The inner space of SolarDOM is round instead of square, making it easier to clean. SolarDOM oven uses light technology to cook food through its Powerful halogen heater. This unique form of cooking is four times faster but keeps food moist, tender and bursting with flavours as the natural cooked ones. Steam Chef is a feature that preserves the nutrients of ingredients while cooking.

Kompressor Vacuum Cleaner

LG's newly developed hygienic dust control in kompressor vacuum cleaners prevents the 'dust cloud' phenomenon that occurs when emptying the dust bag by compressing the dust into cubes. This also leads to more dust storage system in the Vacuum Cleaner thereby saving time, energy and cost for the consumers. Dynaclean systems make cleaning more effective and easy. High Efficiency Particulate Air or HEPA filter create a healthier home by trapping even the smallest particles of dust, bacteria and fungi. HEPA filters retain 99.95 percent of dust particles sucked in by the vacuum cleaner.

16 Step Filter System Air Purifier

LG air purifier comes with the world's firstl6 step Filter system containing allergen, platinum carbon filters that eliminate allergens in the air thereby preventing sick home syndrome. Platinum carbon filter sterilises the indoor air and gets rid of various harmful substances with toxic smells either from new houses or from air pollution. Nano plasma filter generates up to one million positive negative ions and eliminates noxious materials such as viruses, bacteria, mold, etc. Allergy filter has been added to create allergy free air. Allergy filter uses oxygen to reduce allergens in the air.
